Petition to Change a Minor's Last Name

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Texas

I want to change my childrens last name to my married name. Do we have to do adoption process or can we do a petition to change childrens last name.

You can simply petition to change the children's last name. However, that will not make your husband their father.. Please make sure that you fully understand what an adoption is before you consider going that route.
