How Do I Get Emancipated

Because it only happens to me, if I called anyone or anything my brother will be heart broken if hes taken away I cant and will not do that.

Untill I find a way to gey emancipated I guess I'll have to deal with tripping and getting up after each fall

Since emancipation is simply not an option, guess you will.

If you are really "tripping" and "getting up after each fall". You need to call Child Protective Services.

I am stunned your school has not done anything about your absences. Even with physician notes, after 10 days per year they were threatening to call CPS.

And who do you think is likely going to start tripping and having to get up once you leave the house, by emancipation or otherwise? If you love your brother, you will report this tothe authorities.

Oooooooooooooooooooo trust me Pandy, in THIS state?

It's highly unlikely.

With that number of excused absences I'd expect an IEP to be in place and at the very least EXTREMELY regular medical care. Because without at least one of those, there's no way in Hades they'd allow 60 absences per year without intense consultation with the parents.

And even with both of those in place? It'd still be suspect.

I know. I had Mono when I was 13, missed 52 days of school, all with doctors notes, and they were all over my mom. I remember one day laying on the couch watching TV when the School Secretary came knocking on the door. Atleast she could tell I was sick as all get out. Still - every other absence got a phone call or a home visit from her.

Moved in with my grandparents 2 years later...if I even missed a single day with a note, my grandfather had to go in every semester to verify this was a legitimate absence and I was home sick all day.

Younger Monster is a terrible little disease vector, and catches EVERYTHING. His Freshman year, he was out so often with whatever Plague of the Week that even with doctor's notes, they sent the district truancy officer to my house TWICE to make sure he wasn't faking it.

Our friend here is not on the level.
