Overstayed Tourist Visa As a Minor

My mother got a tourist visa in 2001 i also got one too i was 5 years old at the moment i overstayed for 11 years but in 2012 when i was 17 i left to my country and right now i want to get an F-1 visa to study at a community college, i just want to know would this be a problem because i overstayed, it wasn't my fault. Would i be able to aquire a student visa or do i have a ban?
