Best Buy is a whole world of difference from Home Depot. They're actively looking for thieves such as you there. If you had stuffed that device in your pocket and headed to the mens room, I give you small odds that you wouldn't have escaped detection. Home Despot is understaffed with even regular employees let alone LP. However, if you're caught there, I can guarantee you'll be prosecuted.

I applied for an LP position at a high-shortage Home Depot once, they told me 1 app per month would be amazing. As flyingron indicated, entirely different LP cultures.

they may not have noticed yet, but they will.

when thay have two more of one type and two less of another they will know hat happened

they will pull security footage around the tiems that those headsets were bought or returned, the fact that the number off will match the number in your transactiona dn in your return will make this a very quick process they will start with the tapes of your purchase

they will see you switching products (a crime) they will see you "returning" a product you never bought (a crime) and there will be a warrant out for your arrest after that.
