Could My Ex- Get Visitation Rights Despite Criminal History, Restraining Order
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: North Carolina
My daghters father is a registered sex offender. I also have gotten a restraining order on him 09/13 for following and stalking me everywhere i went. Prior to the restraining order the only time he spent with her was when i was present because of his convictions. At our court date oct 2012 for the restraining order, the judge ordered temporary custody to myself and temporary supervised visitation for my child until 02/13. He has been present for every visit thus far. After 02/13 we will have another court date. Could he possibly get visitation rights? What should I expect as i would be afraid for her safety around his family as i feel as if they would flee the country with her. Please advise.

What basis do you have for your fear of them fleeing the country? How old is your daughter?
Re: Father Sex Offender Plus Restraining Order
If he is a convicted sex offender I would seriously doubt any judge would allow him visitation without supervision!

Ya think? Maybe you should really hang around a courtroom more often. A lot depends on the nature of the crime and whether or not it was against a child. Sounds like dad has his ducks in a row at the moment anyway. That will likely have a favorable impression on the judge. The rest of the specific details, who knows what a judge will think. We don't even know what those details are.
