When Does a Custody Order Let You Move Without Seeking Permission
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: FLORIDA
"The parties shall have shared parental responsibility as to the minor child of the marriage.
The WIFE shall be the primary residential parent of said child, and the HUSBAND shall
have scheduled visitations and liberal telephone contact with the minor child."
Does this mean I can move wherever I want?
Re: Does This Mean I Can Move Wherever I Want
Which part of the question wasn't covered in the other thread?
I'll reiterate:
Mommy, YOU are free to move wherever you want.
However, you are NOT free to relocate the children.

Get a life.
And you're being rude ... why, exactly?
Because nobody will lie to you and say, "Oh of COURSE Mommy can relocate the child/ren to Europe without any problems at all!"?
Colour me confused.
Re: Does This Mean I Can Move Wherever I Want
Boilerplate language often also includes language that says that the children cannot be moved from the jurisdiction and/or the state without the approval of both parties and/or the court. You'll have to read the ENTIRE document.
Of course, to get passports, dad will also have to sign off on them, so the kids probably aren't going anywhere without his approval anyway.

They've already been to Europe on vacation.
OP also has another thread here.
Re: Does This Mean I Can Move Wherever I Want
They do have a passport already.

Which doesn't matter.
Re: Does This Mean I Can Move Wherever I Want
Mom still needs to get the court's approval. If dad is okay with it, and the court signs off on it, there ya go!
