    Violation of Right to Privacy
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
Can law enforcement officer call a personal friend at place of employment and tell them he arrested them while transporting them to jail after he arrested them on drug possession charges? He asked where they worked said he knew somebody there said that they didn't need someone like them working there. They fired them on Monday. The arrest happened Sat evening.

Arrests are public record. Why would it be illegal to disclose something which is public record?

Arrests really must be public record, imagine the potential for abuse if people could be arrested in secret, that is the sort of thing that was done in the USSR
