Felony Accessing / Damaging Computers
My question involves criminal law for the state of: North Carolina
In 2006 I entered into a pre trial diversion program in North Carolina because I was charged with felony accessing/damaging computers. Because I had no record at the time and because it was a non violent offense I was given this option to take this program. Upon completion of paying a fine, performing community service, and once the probation period ended, the charges would be dismissed and that would be the end of my case.
I know on my background check it lists the incident, but as far as I know i wasn't convicted because the charges were dropped. In your opinion, would i be able to pass a background check for a handgun purchase?
Re: Felony Accessing / Damaging Computers
An arrest with no conviction should not be disqualifying.
