Do You Have to be Present at Birth for Your Child to Have Your Last Name
My question involves paternity law for the State of: Indiana--- I am a non resident I live in another first world country, I am not married to my girl friend. We will have our baby this month. I was told I have to be there so our child can have my family name.

Can some one please advise me the remedies.
