Custody and Visitation After a Parent is Deported
I have a custody agreement with my exhusband. He was recently deported to Colombia. Is there any paper work I need to do to get soul custody, or does it automatically default to me? He is not coming back for at least 8 years, if at all. Do I even need to do paper work? Also if he is living in Colombia does that mean that he is no longer obligated, or does Colombia and US have some type of agreement where he would still be obligated?

I would certainly file for sole legal and physical custody in a situation like that one. Its not absolutely necessary, because, like you said, you are basically going to have sole legal and physical custody by default, but its safer to have it court ordered.
As far as child support is concerned, your odds of being able to collect from him in any appreciable way are not strong at all.
