    Part Time Work on Unemployment
My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Colorado
I recently got accepted for unemployment benefits because my employer went out of business. I have since accepted a part time job, but don't make enough so I still get partial benefits. This job is not what they told me it would be so I'm still actively looking for something better. If I accept a different job and quit this one, does it disqualify me from unemployment because I quit a job voluntarily? I have tried to call unemployment, but either you can't get thru or get put on eternal hold, never to talk to anyone. I don't want to accept another job and completely disqualify myself for benefits.

If you accepted another job why would you still need unemployment? Are you talking about quitting one part time job for another part time job?

In Colorado if you work less than 32 hours a week and less than the awarded weekly amount, you get partial benefits and keep looking for another job that makes more money with more hours. They allow you to do this for 1 year.

I am looking for either another part time job that pays more and is actually what it says it is or a full time job. I'm having more luck finding part time work right now, maybe because of the time of year? I just dont want to lose my benefits right now. I've never collected benefits before and the book they sent is no help at all.
