Can My Boyfriend Get Charged With Statutory Rape
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
Currently, I am 15 and my boyfriend is 17.
When my boyfriend is 18 and I am 16 could he, in the state of Florida, be charged with statutory rape? My mom is the type of person to try and press charges if she ever found out we decided to have a physical relationship or if I got pregnant.
The Florida Statutory Rape Law states: Unlawful sexual activity with certain minors is if someone age 24 or older engages in sexual activity with someone age 16 or 17.
SO does this mean, no charges can be pressed?

You are 15...boyfriend has to wait. Or he can face a lifetime on the Sex Offender Registry.
If you don't like that answer, it is best to go to a local lawyer and ask.
