So he's earning around 1800/month max?

What is the market rent for your area?

What would happen if - heaven forbid - your mother moved or passed away? THIS is why I'm asking the difficult questions. Because he'll have to convince the court that he can survive WITHOUT your mother and you.

We have some income based apartments i believe that are $300-350 a month and another that is $500 a month with utilities paid minus electric which would be around $40 a month with our Board of Public Utilities. This leaves him more than enough money for insurance and food and such. I know a 19 year old boy living fine off of unemployment which i believe is like $800-1000 a month.

Unemployment in Kansas is by the week, not by the month. The maximum unemployment benefit in Kansas is $423 a week. There is no way on God's green earth a 19 year old was earning enough to be making the maximum unemployment benefit.

The average monthly cost of health insurance in Kansas is $138 per month. The average cost of auto insurance in Kansas is $101 a month, but for a teenager is likely to be higher than average.
