Re: Im 16 and I Want to Get Emancipation
Have you read the stickied threads on emancipation? You've given us no RELEVENT information as to whether you'd qualify for emanciption - which is VERY difficult in Wisconsin, because Wisconsin doesn't have a specific emancipation process. Generally, regardless of WHY you're seeking emancipation, you'd need to prove to the court that you've got a history of self-support or track record of earning enough to convince the court that you and you alone could afford the going rate for rent, utilities, groceries, health insurance, transportation, and all the necessities of life while at the same time making above average grades in school. If you don't meet these requirements, your only path to emancipation is via either marriage (at age 16 WITH parental consent) or military duty (at 17 with parental consent).

If you feel you DO meet the requirements, your next step is retaining a family law attorney to assist you with your petition to the court.

I have never heard of skitofrenea. You have no chance of emancipation as you cannot provide for yourself. I suggest you spend more time in English class also.

Were you placed with your foster family by the state?
