What Will Happen if I Am Convicted of an Aggravated Assault in Domestic Dispute
My question involves criminal law for the state of:TN. The father of my kids came to my moms home to drop the kids off. He pushed the door open ran in the house because he thought someone was in there. He was fighting me and pushing on my mother. We asked him to leave he wouldn't I picked up a screwdriver and stuck it down his throat. I believe this is self defense but I had a previous domestic assault with him which was expunged from my record. Do I have a good enough defense to not do any jail time?

That's a question that only a jury can answer, after hearing BOTH sides of the story. You might have a valid defense of self defense or defense of your mother, or, you might not. Can't make that call with only getting info from one of the three people involved.

Does he have a good case if he has no witness and forced his way in and tried to fight me and my sick mother?

OMG!! You stuck a screwdriver down his throat?!!! How does that even happen?!! (I'm just trying to figure out the logistics of this one)
You should get an attorney. This could go south on you very easily.
