Sale of a Double Bladed Axe in California
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

I have a double bladed axe, wall decoration piece that I am looking to post in a local classified ad.
What do I need to be concerned with about selling this item?
Is there an age limit on who can buy it?
Does it matter that the blades were sharpened by a previous owner?

It has no sheath or covering for the blades. It is only supposed to be a medievel recreation piece for decoration.

I've read up on California knife laws and sword laws (what little there is) but nothing I've seen talks about oddball blades. And the knife/sword law info I've seen doesn't say if there is an age limit to who can buy. I wont sell to a minor, but I need to know if there is a distinction from 18 or 21 years of age.

    Thanks.

Re: California Laws Regarding the Sale of a Double Bladed Axe
There may be local ordinances against such things, but other than that you should be safe if you sell to anyone age 18 or over ... as long as they aren't gonna be walking down Main Street with it, they should be okay. And, I say that the sale should be to an 18 year old only because if you sell to a minor, you might run afoul of other laws not specifically geared towards weapons. Best to limit it to an adult.
