Re: H1B transfer questions
You can transfer an H-1B any number of times - there is no limit on transfers. There is no minimum time you must wait between transfers, but you must work for your company long enough to get a salary stub, probably a month. The websites you are seeing may be addressing different situations, or may be addressing practicalities and experiences not reflected in the law itself but which make life easier when applying to the USCIS for transfer - provide links so people can take a look.
Re: H1B transfer questions
Many thanks to Mr. Knowitall!
Just FYI, here is the link talking about the time period before H1B transfer.

It is in the answer to the second question scenario that says "H1B transfer cannot be worked out unless the person has atleast 3-4months of salary slips." (you can search this sentence in the web page, it will point you there.) It seems this applies to this particular case but also sounds like a general rule.
I have also seen a Chinese website that 6 months is needed to prove to the INS that the INTENT to the current transfer is true. (But I am not able to find a link in the official site.)
Re: H1B transfer questions
I believe the distinction is that the person who is the subject of that question is not in the United States. If you also aren't in the United States, the longer period probably applies.
Re: H1B transfer questions
Thanks! It seems I will have no problem transfering the visa again working only one or two months in this company since I am physically in the states. I do appreciate your applies.
