How to Write a Repayment Agreement for Stolen Property
My question involves personal property located in the State of: Pennsylvania

A former friend was in my house while I was at school, he stole an electronic item worth >$500. I need to create a contract that gives him and another accomplice one month to repay me for that item or we will press charges. Is this a good idea? And how can I create one of these contracts?

    Thank you for any reply's.

I am surprised he admitted it. I will be even more surprised if he signs it. Report the item stolen to the police.

Why didn't you simply file a police report?

The only "written document" I would be interested in... actually a small stack of "written documents"... would look somewhat like these.

Frankly, once you convert this to a repayment agreement, you should not expect that the police or prosecutor are going to be interested in enforcing a breach. You should anticipate that they'll tell you that you converted the matter to a civil matter, and to direct you to small claims court.
