Is There a Time Limit That the Court Has to Prosecute a Person
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
It's been almost a year and a half now since my gun charge (possession of a concealed weapon in public) has been in court and there has not been a jury trial set yet. Every time I do attend my court dates, it's always being pushed further. I would like to know if there is a time limit that the court has to prosecute a person.

Not if you keep waiving time.

Tell your attorney to push for trial if that is what you want. There are ways to bring it about sooner if that is truly what you want to do.
