Can a Mother Change a Child's Name if She Disproves Paternity
My question involves name change laws in the State of: Canada
Hi. I was just wondering how I go about dropping my child's last name which is Oxford-Watters and getting rid of the Watters because DNA results proved that the Watters man was not the father and the actual father is now deceased....I just want him to have my last name (Oxford)

Mr. Watters is the child's legal father? With custodial rights? And he'll oppose the petition?

Oops - I just noticed your location. Canada is not a U.S. state. Talk to a lawyer in Canada.
