I have a question. I just had a chat with a girl apperently 13 years old. I myself just turned 17. She wanted to be my "slave" on a chat programm called Kik. After I brought up a suxual topic she just stopped writing back. Now my question is is it legal for me to chat with a 13 year old about these topics and ask for pictures? Im from New Jersey.
You need to stay away from minors in chat rooms. You are subject to the laws in their state, which you are not privy to.
Of course it's not legal for you to have sexual conversations with a 13 year old? Why do you even have to ask that question?

And she's 13. Even in Europe, 13 year olds are not considered old enough to legally engage in such things.
Put this another way:
If you continue, you can face criminal charges and your visa can be very easily revoked.

I hope she only just blocked me but Im realy scared and paranoid now that she was a cop. Can anybody help me please?
I thought chatting minor to minor is ok.
One more detail: With kik (the messenger) one can see if the message is sent or read. She read the last message that started to get slightly sexual. Then all the messages that came after that one were just sent not read. Any other advice? I am realy scared.
Also she had one profile picture and then she sent me just a normal picture of herself, so no nude content
Did you eat a bowl of stupid for breakfast? In most European countries, the age of sexual consent ranges from 14 to 16, with ONE country setting the AOC as 13. Not that those apply. In New Jersey, the AOC is 16. In some US states, it's as high as 18.Quote:

Yes I did stop talking to her besides she didnt read the messages anyway. I deinstalled the chat and swore myself to never do this again after all the stress im going through right now.
What would be the worst case? and just out of interest is it illegal to have a sexchat with a same year old?

Worst case scenario would be: Arrested. Charged with sexual contact with a minor. Jail/Prison. Followed by Deportation.
