Bankruptcy, my spouse, and Washington law
I know that WA is a community property law, but what does that mean exactly if I need to file bankruptcy? How will it affect my husband's credit and his assets? We do not have anything of value, but we do have our vehicle which we do not own (he has a loan for it). I'm not on the loan or the ownership of the car at all, so would we even need to reaffirm the debt for the car to keep it? I'm being overwhelmed with medical bills that have piled up and they are threatening me with legal action so I'm really scared because we don't have the money to pay it. In total, they probably equal $10,000. Also, today the guy called me up to threaten me with legal action, and he was rude, vulgar, and mocked me. He said that if I didn't pay, he was going to take my husband to court. Can he do that? My husband didn't sign for the hospital bills. Most of them happened when he wasn't around (we were married though).

Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, the debt collectors haven't reported this debts on my husband's credit report. He still has a perfect score.

The consequence generally is that there may be some debts which your husband will continue to be responsible for, even though in a different state they might have been resolved by your bankruptcy. You should be able to clarify these issues through a consultation with a bankruptcy lawyer.
