    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida


    Can I play after school sports while I'm on probation for shoplifting?

    Misdemeanor shoplifting correct, if it was felony grand theft probably not. If it was misdemeanor are you on probation? If yes, than you would have to talk to your probation officer.

    Your probation officer would likely encourage you to play. It is better that you participate in something like extracurricular activities opposed to just being on the street. Your school or the school district may prevent probationers from playing, but it is a pretty minor offense. As everyone else suggested ask your P.O. and school it should probably all work out.
