Being Threatened with Theft Charges

I have been selling things online for years, and have gotten a friend to hold my money that I met online on a gaming forums and he is supposed to just buy me items online since I cannot receive payment, I received a computer in the mail and several other items and I thought they were all paid for, but it turns out he scammed them all on ebay and it was ALL sent to my house on like hacked ebay accounts. Sellers have been calling the police and reporting it and I have been getting in lots of trouble, what should I do? A guy wants 1.2 grand for the computer since my so called friend scammed him and I cant afford that and he does not want his item back? Please give me some advice on what to do here. Im in serious crap. The police are saying if I pay it back/resolve it I can still get charged with a felony?

Lawyer. Get one. Now. No, yesterday. Stop talking to the police without your lawyer present. I hope you have chat logs, emails etc.. to document your relationship with the other party.
