Neighbor is Blocking Our Right of Way
My question involves an easement in the state of:New Jersey. We have a neighbor that insists on parking in front of our gate partially blocking the right of way into property, he refuses to move it to near his driveway which would give us a buffer of 15 ft. The town owns the street width and length of 20 feet past this gate. Police and zoning officer say I can do nothing about it. We are unable to get hired help onto the property with their mason dumps. Is there anthing I can do to keep him from doing this?
Re: Neighbor is Blocking Our Right of Way
If you can prove where your easement is and the guy is blocking it, you start with a letter from you or, given the fact you have already started this, a lawyer. If that doesn no good you are relegated to suing the guy asking the court to order the guy not block your easement.
Re: Neighbor is Blocking Our Right of Way
If the easement is a valid street entrance/exit, I don't see why you cannot work out a no parking sign and tow the vehicle. I suggest you consult with your local zoning official about doing this.
Re: Neighbor is Blocking Our Right of Way
The town owns the roadway past the gate into our property for 20 ft.

What is the recorded purpose of the easement?
