Neighbor Reported My Boyfriend as a Suspected Thief

I know this will seem rather petty and silly compared to more serious matters on this site, but I'm really scared and don't know what else to do. For a 17 year old who's supposedly wise beyond my years (already a sophomore in college), I did something ridiculously dumb. My boyfriend has snuck over to my room a couple of times. We've never had sex, I PROMISE. But I know if my parents found out, they would assume we were, and a huge argument would ensue. The first time he snuck over was just because we had gotten into our first fight (we've been dating for about two years), and he wanted to make it up to me, so he bought my favorite candy, climbed through my window, and we watched a sappy chick flick. Tonight, he came to my window (he had just left my house after spending the day together, but he came back) to give me one last kiss before I leave town this week. Anyway, when he does these things, he parks down the road just a little ways from my house, so my parents won't see him in the driveway. My neighbor has apparently seen his car out there, and tonight, she got his license plate number and called the police because she thinks someone stole her chicken and chicken feed. She also says that they had left their dog in the house, but when they came back, the dog was outside, and the lights were on when they had previously been switched off. So of course, she assumes the owner of that car is the one doing this. I'm just SO worried for obvious reasons. I'll never participate in any sort of sneaking around again, even if it's essentially harmless. I'm so afraid for my boyfriend. Do you think the police go looking for him? What's the worst-case scenario? Will my parents find out about all this? And if the police do talk to my boyfriend, and he tells them what happened, will they tell my neighbor all the details? Because I know if they told her he came to my window, she would tell my parents, and all hell would break loose in my house. My parents would just automatically assume I was sneaking around having sex. Bottom line though, I'm so afraid of my boyfriend getting in trouble!! I have NEVER been involved in anything illegal, I've always been a straight-A student, and am involved in my church. I never thought I'd be one of those stupid teenagers like you see on TV, but I guess I was wrong. PS - I didn't really know what category to place this in. I'm really not thinking clearly right now because of all the stress.

I would expect that if the police talk to your boyfriend, he will tell them that he was in the neighborhood to visit you. That may mean that they want to talk to you, and may mean that your parents learn that your boyfriend has been sneaking into your room at night.
