    Issues in Getting Permanent Residency in Canada
    Case:
    I'm an Indian citizen and came to US in 2002 as an F1 student for Bachelors and currently out of status. I have been out of status since 2006.
    I was wondering if I could apply to Canadian residency from within US and how easy it would be. I'm planning to consult a lawyer but I would like to know what's troubles I will encounter once I start the process.

    Thank you

    You need to post questions about Canadian law on a Canadian forum, or pose them to a Canadian lawyer.

    But when you do so, you might want to be prepared to answer the following question;

    What incentive does Canada have to allow you into the country, when you have already shown that you have no objections to remaining illegally?

    Please apply so the US gov't will know where to pick you up at.
