well...she used to hit me like everyday when i was littler, but as i got older the beatings stopped, she used to leave bruises (another reason she stopped) the last time she hit me was about 2 weeks ago, she basically just punches me in my arm or breasts, but she sometimes threatens to beat the living shit out of me, or say "if murder wasnt illegal, i would kill you" most of the time i run away from her, before she has enough time to hit me. i have a question, sometimes she opens the door and says "if you dont like it here then leave this house!!" whenever she would say that i never had anywhere to go, but now i do, if she says that to me again, can i walk out the door the next time she says that, without getting in trouble with the law, because if she does say that to me again...im walking out

If she just says if you don't like it leave, that is not a legal reason to take her up on it. IF she demands that you get out, then you go to your friends, call the police, and tell them, my mom just kicked me out, and I came here because I have no where to go, so if she calls me in as a runaway, call me at this number and I would gladly go home, but right now, she won't let me. It is always good to call the local police first so if the mom tries to call you in as a runaway, they can say, oh yes, she just called, and she is not a runaway, BUT you must still go back the moment she makes that call!! If you do not, then you are a runaway, and your friends are then charged with harboring a runaway, and they would go to jail, not very nice if you do that to them. If your mom never calls you in as a runaway, you could stay, but they would not be able to ask for assistance for you staying there, it would be more like mom allowing you to have a little more time to sleep over, she would not be giving them legal guardianship, and if they applied for help, you can bet your butt that she would come snatch you up, and take you home immediately. Good luck! So you know, this could happen in Oregon, where I live, but maybe not the same where you live so be careful! It is also never ok to hit a child, expecially in the personal area! IF it happens again, I would tell your mom, if you touch me again, I will turn you in for abuse!! IF she touches you again, DO IT!
