What Happens to Support Payments when Ex Changes Jobs
My question involves child support in the State of: TX
My child and I live in Virginia and the father lives in Texas. The state (TX) has been deducting the child support payments from his paycheck for about a year now. If he decides to change jobs will the state be informed and automatically start deducting payments from his check again or is he required to let the state know he changed jobs? And if he doesn't let the state know he changed jobs will I not get my child support anymore?
Re: What Happens to Support Payments when Ex Changes Jobs
If the state does not know that your ex- has changed jobs, it won't know to issue an income withholding order to the new employer. Somebody has to tell them.

If he doesn't tell the state and they don't withhold payments what options do I have to try and get my payments? Thank you for you help!
Re: What Happens to Support Payments when Ex Changes Jobs
Have you gone to the state yet to let them know the payments stopped and that the other parent now has a new employer? Try to give as much info as you can about the new employer so that they can help pursue enforcement.
