Emancipation at Age 16 in Arizona
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Arizona

I am 16 years old, 17 in September with a 6 month old daughter. I live in my grandmother's home (she pays all costs) but my mother lives here also (does not help pay rent, no job, not looking for a job, keeps applying for extended unemployment while not actively looking for a job, NO expenses). I am currently on WIC to be able to afford formula. I do have a job working for a company that sells items on Amazon, I am not given a pay stub, no taxes are taken from me. I am making close to $1500 a month through them, but it is direct deposit. My mother is mentally unstable. She tends to take her anger out on my brother and I. She is constantly picking a fight with my grandmother. I 100% support my daughter, other then a house because my mother refuses to let me move out or have control over my own life. She will not let me off of her insurance to get my own. I do have money saved up for unknown expenses. My grandmother has agreed to let me stay in her house until I find my own place, which I am currently already looking for. I am looking into the process of emancipation & looking into the right attorney. What are my chances of the judge granting me? I am in school full time, on an online highschool so I watch my daughter during the day.

You are not going to be emancipated - period.

Please read the other posts on emancipation. You are 16 with a baby - this tells the court that you need MORE, not less, supervision.

Also, expect to receive a 1099 (or a 1099k) at the end of the year.

Of course! (in her case having an income will actually give her tax benefits she wouldn't have gotten without the income, so, she'll actually receive money back from the government) (more than likely)

So you were knocked up, have an illegitimate child and quit school. Does this sum up your ummmm qualifications for being "responsible"? You aren't even close honey.

A 1099 means you are an independent contractor. End of the year, you will get a statement that shows what you earned. Uncle Sams about 30% of it....

16 with a kid, and no means of sole support....you will not be emancipated.

You are living with someone else. You do not have your own place. Your family member has said "no way'.....

Until you can raise the baby and yourself without any assistance.....you have no chance. Between now and when you graduate, work on the GED, work on income and savings.....
