Father is Avoiding Child Support By Putting Everything in New Wife's Name
My question involves child support in the State of: Kansas
But Father lives and works in: Missouri

At this time I have 2 children ages 6 and 8. I have full custody of them and their father is supposed to be paying child support but is now 9K behind. The last court hearing, he told the trustee that he is unemployed and our case got continued AGAIN. We are about to see both the judge and court trustee, I need some advice or help from anyone!!

    1. I have been told from friends he isn't getting unemployment, How so I prove this?
    2. He is driving a commercial truck that his wife bought and now owns a (new) business that he works for. He has told me MANY times I won't see a dime from him because it’s his wife that makes all the money. What can I do about this?

The best solution is to hire a lawyer, I know. But I really can't afford it and don't want another bill that I will be unable to pay as these proceedings are PRO SE.

Thank you guys for any input!

    1. Hire a PI. At the hearing, ask that he shows proof that he's receiving unemployment.

    2. If it's his wife's business, it's untouchable.

If it's his wife's business, but he's working for the business as a commercial truck driver, she needs to be paying him a salary.
