Re: Remedies for Marriage Fraud
Thank you so very much for clarifying things for me. I realize some of the answers should be logical, but the way things work in this government, they aren't always logical.
As far as hearsay of him telling me and numerous others, and then denying it, yeah, he could just be lying, there's no proof there, but Im kind of like his business helper (not a real business per se) but when we pulled his credit to refinance this house back in July, there it is, in black and white, balances dropped on credit cards dramatically in the month after the wedding, like $10,000.00 down to $51.00. So I found out that way, does that leave me liable, I did talk to a few loan officers about how good his credit is, to help refinance.
And NO, I did not receive any part of the money, he didn't even tell our family he was getting married for real, till it was done. He did it at a court house, no one in the family knew, until about 2-3 weeks after. That's when he told everyone that he didn't get paid.
I don't know about you, but Santa never left me a $20,000.00+ gift, it wasn't his tax return, and he did not receive a loan (that's on his credit report too.)
And since he kept it a secret this long, I know he didn't report it on his taxes either.
Thank you , mmadsen55, this forum and you have been a great help, I hope someone else reads these posts, and decides the $ is not worth your freedom.
