What Happens If You Attend Traffic School, Despite Prior Attendance
    In california.

This is for my mother really.

What will happen if you attended traffic school in the last 18 months. And you got another citation. The notice you got in the mail does not say you cannot attend traffic school and the clerk does not stop you. And you attend traffic school anyways.

Best to know from someone who did it.

In California, the "courtesy notice" doesn't say you can't attend...it only says whether or not you can. I think she wasted her time and money.

    Nothing will happen.

It will be like auditing a class, except you're paying money for it.

If she tries to submit the traffic school certificate to keep the citation off her record, it will just get rejected because her record will show she already attended traffic school with 18 months.

Her 2nd citation will still show on her DMV record and she will have wasted her money on a traffic school class.

But there's nothing preventing her from taking the traffic school class, it just won't have any affect on her record because it's within the 18 months from her last citation.
