First Offense Ticket for a Marijuana Pipe

Ok so I am a minor and I got a ticket for a marijuana pipe with no weed in chino ca. Im a little confused on my situation because i asked around and people had said the cop made a few mistacks and i should just for get about the ticket and not go so maybe you someone and clear this up for me! Alrite here wat happen The cop pulled me over she found my pipe told its mine and i smoke weed. At first she said she was going to have to release me my guardian when she was writing the ticket but she never did. She just released me. So on the ticket it said I had to go the chino court but I'm a minor so I'm not suppose to go there, I'm suppose to go to rancho and on the ticket she checked the box infraction and not mister meaner. (a few people told me if a ticket is filled out wrong it will be dropped and just wait to see if anything comes in the mail of not don't go) nothing come in the mail So I listen and didnt go to my court date. 3 or 4 months go by and I didn't hear anything butt then I guess I got 2 letter for a collection notice in april because i didnt apear in court butt no one told I had mail I've never me the till a moth n half later so again I didn't kno what to do I just left it alone. But no I'm a little worried about what's going to happen now?

Your choices now are to pay the fine, assuming that's sufficient to get the court to close its books on the matter, or to try to convince the court in which you chose to default to reopen the case and hear whatever defense you believe you may have.
