Threatened With Exposure of Sexual History

My question involves defamation in the state of: California

I met up with a woman on craigslist while in a relationship, she referred me to a friend who could host since her parents were home, I'm bisexual so i was alright with that. She ended up being tied up by her parents and me and the guy did our thing, and the next morning i decided to stop. All of it, the cheating. And now after i cancelled with her, she's furious and convinced i'm "playing games", etc. She's crazy. I have no idea how to get out of it. She's saying she's going to come by my house monday night (i'm 18 and live with my mom) to "sort this all out". And the guy is offering to make a deal with her in exchange for sexual favors from me.

If they're working in concert, i know this is extortion, but if it turns out that the guy really just is offering this as an option for me and the woman is not trying to get anything out of approaching my family with this information, is it still extortion? I mean, she hasn't directly asked for anything or threatened me, but she's going to come forward with this information and her friend is trying to make a deal with me on the side, does that mean i have legal options with her?

The deal is with her guy friend. Sexual favors in exchange for him doing her favors to calm her down.

What exactly do you mean?

I was intending on sleeping with this woman, but changed my mind and now she's saying she's going to come to my family with evidence of all of our communications. She's not demanding anything for herself and i don't know if her and the man are in this together to play me, but I need to know if i have any legal options if they aren't.

So don't sleep with her. Let her show your parents the communications - what are they going to do?

I understand that i might not get a lot of sympathy for having cheated on her with a guy, but please help me anyway.

Never so anything you are not prepared to admit doing to your partner or will be ashamed of your family finding out. It does not sound like you are very committed if you are already a cheater at 18.
