    Summer Visitation Over Increased Distances
    My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Florida sarasota county : my daughter now lives in ky and i live in rhode island and i need to know my rights for summer visitation at age 12 i used to get the standard 21in days in the summer when we both lived in fl but now we arent getting along and i need to be able to show her that its different when we live in different states and i dont see her all yr please help

    The original custody order still stands until someone goes to court to modify it.

    Are you just not picking her up? When was the last time you saw your daughter?

    it's not different unless you had the order modified. Whatever order was in place is still valid until somebody seeks a modification of that order or seeks to have one of the resident states placed as having jurisdiction and a new order put into place.

    yes i was able to fly her here for xmass this yr and thats all i could do till now 6/10/2012 and am unable to afford to go back to court at this time the question i have is dose my rights automatically change when i or her mother move out of state to a default long distance plan and what is that plan ???if we cant agree on one in mediation or between ourselves

    No, it does not automatically change.

    As we said, it stays the same until one of you goes to court to modify it.
