Statute of Limitations for Old Legal Fee
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Indiana : The fees in question of collection are from 1997 , is there a statute of limitations on the collection of these fees? There have been numerous agreements to make payments but no payments have ever been made toward these fees. Do the payment agreements play any part of voiding or restarting the statuate of limitations?:wallbang:
Re: Statute of Limitations for Old Legal Fee
The general limitations period for a contract for the payment of money is six years. IC 34-11-2-9. Whether or not your subsequent agreements renewed the debt or extended the limitations period will depend upon the facts.
