Cited for Following Too Closely

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Washington

Hello, today I received a traffic ticket for following too close to a vehicle.

I received a speeding ticket 2 months prior to today and I have yet to go to my mitigation hearing. I was thinking of filing for a deferral for the speeding ticket but only after paying for the "following too close" ticket. Do you think I will be granted the deferral? Thanks for any and all help.
