My question involves criminal law for the state of: texas
im 16 and the guy i just started dating is 20 we have not had sex but im wondering if my dad found out if he could try and charge my boyfriend with something or not
and if we do decide to have sex could my parents prosecute???

Your parents couldn't, because private citizens can't press charges.
But the District Attorney could. The age of consent in Texas is 17, and he is more than three years older than you. That means that it IS a crime for him to have sex with you and he COULD be prosecuted if your Dad filed a complaint with the DA.

Read the stickied thread. We don't do this type of question. If your boyfriend wants to know if he will be able to sleep with you without going to jail, he should consult a lawyer.
