Transfer from G4 to F1

Hi,

I am a G4 primary holder working in U.S. , Chinese, and will join a university in the U.S. . I need to get an F1 by Aug 16. I wonder how long would it take if I apply for F1 in the U.S. ?

I would expect the process to take 3 - 5 months. Your university may haven an immigration adviser who can assist with the process.
