Illegal Towing at Apartment Complex - What Are My Options to Fight This
    State of California.

I live in an apartment complex where every car needs a tag on the window, otherwise the car gets towed. The tag wasn't on the windshield, but fell on the console of the car....and they claim: "no window tag, you get towed period."

I adddition, they need the Apartment Supervisor's signature so they can tow it.

When my car was towed, they claim that they obtained signature from the Super. The Super, claims that he signed no such document. Either the tow company is lying or the Super is lying. I believe the Super......as we are good friends and we see each other every day and my apartment is right next to his. He knows my car well enough as my car stall is right next to his.

The receipt shows the apartment Super towing permission signature blacked out by the towing company due to "protection/legal reasons". This way nobody can tell if the signature was forged by the tow company--which I am 1000% sure it is!

I plan on fighting this steep towing company fee and I would like advice how to deal with this in a clean, efficient way.....

You didn't display the tag properly - that's not the towing company's fault or responsibility - it's yours. Authorization is a separate issue.

If you want to sue in small claims court, ideally with the super appearing with you, you can ask the court to compel them to share the unaltered document.
