OK so i got caught shoplifting from Disney world. It was under $100 and i was sent to court. I went to court yesterday and i went up in front of the judge and the state attorny said that the state has not come up with a decision yet. Therefore i wasted my time at court. I'm not sure whats gonna happen. It was a first time offense and i'm a good kid attending university. I hope i dont have to face any time in jail. I definitely do not belong in jail. Please help!

they havent made a decision as to whether charge me or what punishment i should get
If they decide not to charge you, that would be a lucky thing for you. Do you know why they haven't made the decision?

no i dont know why they havent made the decision...they just gave me a court date for 2 weeks from now and they'll let me know whats going to happen...i really dont care about paying a fine or community service....i just dont want to go to jail...in the state of florida for a first conviction second misdemeanor it is punishible with up to $500 in fines, probation, and 0-60 days in the county jail..and i'm just scared that i'll end up in jail...i definitely dont look like i belong in jail...its just a really scary thought
If it's your first offense, I think it would be extremely unlikely that you'll go to jail. Florida jails don't have many vacancies.
do you think that they'll drop the charges? because when i went to the arraignment they didnt give me my punishment because they said they havent decided on whether or not they wanted to charge me...so they set my court date for 2 weeks from that day.
