Acceptance of Termination on L1b Visa
I have worked in L1 B visa for 2 years in US. Due to disagreements with employer, I have resigned from my job. My offer letter said 4 weeks under notice period which I will be giving. I have mentioned that my resignation should be effective immediately meaning my notice period should start. But I have not received any acceptance of resignation till now. Can they deny my resignation? I still hope this ends in a better way. But just wanted to know my legal options.

They cannot refuse to allow you to quit. They can pursue any contractual remedies available for you quitting, if you have them in place. You will likely have an issue as the L1B will not allow you to work for anyone else and you will need to leave the US.

Can they force you to keep working for them? No.

If you have an employment contract, they can take legal steps to punish you for breaking it. You are not a slave, you are just a poorly paid foreigner, hired to undercut American wages.
