Refused Termination Papers
My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Florida
I am trying to get a copy of my termination papers and was told that in order to do so I need a court order! I have never heard of this before, don't I have the right to see what was listed for my termination? I have reason to believe that the reason listed may breach a settlement agreement and would like to have a copy.
Re: Refused Termination Papers
In Florida, you have no statutory right to see your personnnel file or any other related documents. If your employer isn't willing to do so voluntarily, then you will indeed have to get a court order.
