Charged with Drug Paraphernalia and Possession, But Neither Were Mine

hello all, Im a 20 year old male. yesterday i was sitting with my friend near his house and we just decided to light up a bowl. well we were sitting there for about 15 minutes after and up comes a cop knocking on his window. they ended up arresting him and seached both of us and all we had was the bowl that was in the cup holder and a small nugget. they then ask me to call my parents and asking them to come pick me up and tell them what was going on. so i did and about 10 minutes later tell me they were taking too long and ended up arresting me too. we sat in jail for about 4 hours then they let us go.

my question is, since my friend took full responsibility for the drugs and pipe is how come i was arrested and do i have a chance to get my charges dismissed? we both have court monday what should i plea?

Ownership is immaterial to possession. You are guilty by your own admission.
