Statute of Limitation on Writing a Bad Check in South Carolina
My question involves criminal law for the state of: South Carolina
Is there a statute of limitation on writing a bad check in South Carolina in excess of $100?
Re: Statute of Limitation on Writing a Bad Check in South Carolina
Depends on how much in excess of $100 and what do you mean by Statute of Limitations.
A warrant for a bad check has to be issued within 180 days of the time the check is made.
If they want to charge you with a criminal act (forgery, false pretenses) there is NO statute of limitations in SC.
