    So wait for the call and let us know what HR says.

    But just so you're clear ahead of time:

    * it's perfectly legal to fire people for working OT even when they have verbal permission to do so;
    * it's perfectly legal to fire people without writing them up first; and
    * it's perfectly legal to fire people without accompaying termination paperwork.

    I finally got a call back from HR. Apparently my former supervisor said I did nothing to bring my system back up, and worked the overtime with out permission to get me fired, however I have proof otherwise on all accounts.

    Even so:

    It is legal to fire you for a reason that is incorrect, even if you can prove it.

    This is really going to be an issue between you and your employer. You can certainly file a wage claim for any time you were not paid for correctly; however you've posted nothing to suggest your termination was illegal. Unfair, maybe. Illegal, no.

    I agree with you. I have a feeling this is going to be a knock down, drag out with my former employer. There are other things that have happened, that I admit, I have omitted. I don't feel comfortable saying them just yet. I'll definetely take my information upwards.

    Thank you everyone - your guidance is greatly appreciated!
