I Am a Father 16 an the Mother 16 - Can We Get Emanciated
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Virginia.
i am 16 living with my friend in Virginia, my parents moved but is stayed for my girlfriend an our son. she lives with her mother an grandparents, they do nothing but cause problems for us. we want to live together an soon before our relationship gets ruined.. they do nothing but mentally abuse her an at one point i have seen her grandpa throw her around. i want us to be happy. i could move to Florida an live with my grandma but i'm not leaving unless they can go to. what could i do?

Did you read the stickied threads? If so, why didn't you share any relevant information (other than facts that obviously weigh against emancipation)? If not, why not?

Longer answer: How much money are each of you making at your full time jobs? How long have you been supporting yourselves individually 100%, paying market rate rent, buying food, clothing, paying for utilities?
If you don't have a proven track record of already being 100% self-sufficient, while still maintaining better than average grades in school, the answer is a resounding "Forget it."
