What Do You Do After Filing Form I-130
I got marriage last year 3/2011 and file I 130 for my wife(international student visa) ....
-First I sent the application to california center and about six month later 10/2010 they kick it back because my wife name in marriage license was typo , so I went to the court order and correct the marriage license ,the submit it with all the info and evident marriage requires .
-Now they just sent me a notice that my file now sent it to detroit ,michigan (where we live) .
-So now I am still waiting for I130 approval .

What should I do now ? my friend told me that I should file I485 together with I130 ....

Should I file I485 now or wait untill I get I130 approve ? Because now my wife she is going to university for study and it will cost alot if her status is non-resident .So should I file I485 now to change her status or it does not make any difference ?

Also ,when can I apply her social security number ? when I get I130 or when I get I485 approve ?

    Thanks .

If your reasons for not filing the I-485 are the possible impact on your wife's tuition, check with the university to determine what impact it would have.

If you file the I-485 and your wife seeks EAD she will be able to get a SSN after she is approved for EAD.
