Possession of Alcohol Under 21, New York
My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York
I am a 20 year old Male from New York. I received an "Appearance Ticket" with the charge of Possession of Alcohol Under 21. I was wondering if this is very serious and I should get a lawyer or is it something that I could just handle myself? Also what type of consequences should I expect if I plead guilty?

If you plead guilty you will be convicted. If you don't want to be convicted, you can explore other options. Consult a local lawyer about the availability of diversion or deferral.
We've discussed the penalty for MIP's in pretty much every state, many, many times, so if you're looking for details on the charge in your state look at some past threads.
